This moisturising cream brings condition and protection to skin and hair.

Imagine a long reddish apple or a yellow squash dangling from the branch of a tree with some sort of bean hanging from its base, and you'll have a rough idea of what a cashew apple looks like!

The cashew nut is found on an evergreen tropical tree and grows in a very unusual way, like an appendage at the base of the tree's fruits. The apple can be consumed too and is actually very tasty but spoils very quickly, which makes its trade very complicated if not impossible.

Once picked from the fruit, the shell must be opened to recover the nut, but it is not as simple as it sounds! Between the nut and its shell lies a poisonous liquid that can cause blisters on human skin (much like its parent, poison ivy). To get rid of it, the cashew nut has to be roasted, the flames breaking its shell and releasing the dangerous liquid. Once this danger is out of the way, the nut is washed and can be eaten raw, roasted or processed into oil and cream.
