Citrus aurantium amara

Orange blossom honey is produced when bees collect from blossoms of the Citrus amara. It retains some of the beautiful floral-citrus flavour and fragrance. It is considered luxurious and exotic.

Honey is a fragrant, sweet, sticky liquid made by honeybees. The bees collect nectar from a variety of plants, carry it to their nests and convert it to honey.

Half a kilogram of honey contains the essence of approximately two million flowers. Honeybees need to make thousands of round-trips to collect nectar, and a single bee might only produce around a teaspoonful of honey in its entire lifetime.

Throughout time, honey has primarily been used as a sweetener, but its beneficial effects, both on human health and as a topical treatment, were soon discovered. Evidence shows us that honey contains nutrients and antibacterial, antiseptic, antioxidant and antifungal substances.
