‘Put the apple on your skin, not in your mouth!’ Surviving in the Garden of Eden 101, p.1
Where do we purchase organic apples?
Nearly all of our fresh fruit and vegetables are purchased from the same specialist distributor, whom Lush UK has been working with since 2005. Depending on the time of year, they source products from different countries to try and have availability all year round.
With seven manufacturing sites across the globe, this information may vary depending on where your Lush products were made.
What are the benefits for your skin?
- Apples contain malic acid, an antioxidant substance that exfoliates the skin’s top layers and leaves it toned and glowing.
- In combination with cleansing ingredients, apple juice de-greases the skin with its gently astringent, acidic properties.
The apple is arguably not the forbidden fruit Eve dared to nibble in the Bible. One of the most famous translation dramas, it is said that the error could come from French monks who translated pomum (fruit in Latin) into pomme (French for apple). Many minds have tried to find back the truth, some claiming it was a fig and others a pomegranate, ears of wheat, pears, grapes or olives. Moral of the story? Don’t listen to snakes.
