Figs contain vitamins A and C and help cleanse the skin with their fruit enzymes. We make a decoction by boiling figs in water. This is then strained and added to our products.

Fig trees belong to a large family of plants called Moraceae, mulberry or fig, many of which are cultivated for their beautiful leaves. The common fig (<i>Ficus carica</i>) is grown for its ‘fruits,’ which are actually inside-out flowers. They contain tiny seeds; they have a chewy texture and a sweet taste. The fruits can come in many colours, shapes and sizes.

Figs prefer a hot and dry climate. They have been cultivated since at least 5000 BC and they were sacred to the Romans.
