Kinako Powder

Glycine soja

Benefits

Natural

When kinako powder comes into contact with warm water, it creates a rich, softening milk that soothes and conditions.

Also known as soybean flour, kinako powder is derived from a Chinese legume glycine ussuriensis. Soy has been eaten and cultivated in China since 2800BC, and was considered one of the five substances essential for living.

Today, the United States is the main grower of soy with over 90 percent of crops being used for animal feed. A whole industry has developed around the bean and various materials made from it including milk, oil, sauce and tofu.
