Safflower oil softens and moisturizes the skin. It contains a high level of linoleic acid, and is also rich in vitamin E.
Safflower oil has a deep amber-yellow color and a slightly nutty, earthy flavor. The oil is extracted from the seeds of the plant. Botanically related to lettuce, sunflowers and daisies, it was originally cultivated for its flowers, and only later for its oil-rich seeds.
