We use sunflower petals in our products to give them a beautiful, decorative touch.
The sunflower belongs to the Asteraceae plant family. This annual flower grows up to 13 feet (or four metres) tall on a long, hairy stem with large flowers on top, usually 2.7 in.-12 in. (7 cm-30 cm) wide. It's believed that sunflowers originated in North America, but can be seen all over the globe. The large yellow petals make it seem like a very big flower, but a closer look reveals that the dark center is actually many smaller flowers that each produce a fruit and form a seed. Plus, this tall wonder is heliotrope: its head moves according to the sun to always face it.
