Tangerine oil is popular in perfumery for its uplifting fragrance, and in skincare it gives complexions a glowy appearance.

Tangerine oil is extracted by cold compression of the peel of the ripe fruits of the Citrus reticulata tree. This evergreen tree can grow to nearly 20 feet tall with white flowers and orange fruits and belongs to the Rutaceae plant family.

Tangerines and mandarins look a lot alike and share the same properties, to the point where they’re considered the same in some countries and are a bit of a botanical nightmare when it comes to explaining which is which.
