Die Vanille stammt von Kleinfarmer*innen in Uganda und Tansania. Durch unseren Einkauf wird das lokale Einkommen von Kleinfarmer*innen gesteigert, die Agroforstwirtschaft betreiben und so die Artenvielfalt in den ostafrikanischen Wäldern stärken.

Obwohl es staatliche Vorschriften gibt, führt der hohe Wert des Sandelholzes nach wie vor zu Schmuggel, Fälschungen und Korruption. Dadurch ist es sehr schwierig, nachhaltige Bezugsquellen und eine gute Ölqualität zu finden. Nach langen Recherchen und Abenteuern haben unsere Einkäufer*innen jedoch einige zuverlässige Bezugsquellen für unser Sandelholzöl gefunden.
