Cempasúchil

Body Spray

Find your way back
Cempasúchil. A recycled black plastic body spray bottle with a trigger nozzle stands upright. It features a black label with intricate orange border designs and white text.

Used to decorate ofrendas during Día de Muertos, Cempasúchil flowers have a bold and distinct fragrance, said to lead ancestors back to their loved ones. Let this vibrant and comforting ode to the Cempasúchil guide you through bright grapefruit and bergamot into a juicy hug of buchu.

Co-Create is a product creation programme for Lush staff, aiming to promote diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging by lifting up authentic stories from respective communities.

Knowing that this year’s range wouldn’t be complete without a body spray, the Día de Muertos focus group got to work in bringing the vibrant and bold Cempasúchil fragrance into spritz-able form. We don’t know about you, but we’re pretty glad they did!

What's in it for you?
- Bezoin is a natural resin collected from trees and is full of aromatic compounds. Its sweet and powdery scent adds a comforting warmth to this fragrance.
- Grapefruit and bergamot capture the bright, fruity notes of marigolds (also known as Cempasúchil) that is complimented by a warmth to mimic the musk of the flower.
