Sometimes we’re asked why we’re not completely vegan. And this little tub of loveliness is a perfect example of why. Based on the world’s first known ointment, it’s a melting pot of beautiful emollient butters, enzymic fresh lemon and, crucially, beeswax, which enables all these effective ingredients to blend together and work as well as they do. A little dab of Lemony Flutter brightens the look of cuticles and nails, softens hard skin, and gives all those dry bits the sorting out they need. It was also created for Lush Co-Founder Liz Bennett (née Weir), who had very high standards — so you know it does the job. Fellow Co-Founder and Product Inventor Helen Ambrosen explains, “Liz was always very particular about her hands and her nails so this product was made for her. It’s great on the hands or toes — and helps prevent cracks in the skin.”

What's in it for you?

- Beeswax: protective, deeply softening, emulsifies ingredients together.

- Shea butter: creamy and emollient, softens and reduces water loss.

- Fresh lemon infusion: brightening, enzymic, helps break down hard skin.

- Mango butter: moisturizing, melts in and smoothes.

- Avocado oil: source of antioxidants, proteins and oils for hardworking hands.

- Sicilian lemon oil: source of alpha-hydroxy-acids (AHAs), traditionally used for nail complaints.
